This Palazzo, which has undergone a complete, but sympathetic, restoration by local artisans features huge rooms, beautiful flagstone floors, chestnut beams and vaulted ceilings. The rooms retain their original character, with every window flooded with light and stunning views over the Umbrian countryside.
The ground floor contains a fully-equipped kitchen fitted with the latest appliances, including two dishwashers, double fridge and magnificent Godin cooker. There is also a large dining room, a sitting area and a separate TV/games room, a double bedroom with separate shower-room and a laundry room.
The stone staircase leads up to the first floor, where there are three double bedrooms, all with luxury en-suite bathrooms. The principal spacious living room, with honour bar, integrated Hifi system with multi CD changer and which features a huge open fireplace, is also situated on this floor.
The staircase continues to the second floor where, under a fantastic beamed ceiling, a further four bedrooms all with luxury en-suites can be found. The study is also located on this floor and is fully fitted with fax/copier/scanner/printer and Internet access.
Terraces and lawns surround the building with breathtaking views in all directions. Situated to the left side of the house stands a tobacco tower while to the right nestles an ancient stone built loggia furnished for outdoor dining with a large catering barbeque. For the guests enjoyment a giant outdoor chess set and croquet have been provided. The main terrace, with magnificent sunset views, overlooks the 7m x 15m (23ft x 50 ft) private swimming pool, which has a built-in drinks fridge, outdoor shower, pool volleyball and a pergola for shade.
The palazzo can accommodate a maximum of 22 guests including 4 children. Maid service is included for three hours per week on linen change days. Linen is changed twice a week on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Additional maid service is available on request.
Getting There
A rental car is highly recommended. Apart from Florence and Rome, there are also flights to Bologna (one and half hour drive) and Perugia (40 min drive)
