A complete architectural interior and exterior renovation in 2004 has now turned the original house into a contemporary jewel. (Rift-sawn oak is cut to expose the grain linearly rather than in the traditional oak pattern] The entire house is equipped with dramatic and user-friendly lighting system by HomeWorks (Lutron), with multiple settings for creating any mood; touch a button, and the entire house is set for dinner, or for a party, or with the touch of a button turn off every single light effortlessly. (The original designer owner ensured that the Casa de Corcoran is beautifully dramatic by night, both inside and out— the lighting system controls extensive exterior lighting as well.)

You'll find custom-designed wood furniture: In the master suit, furnishings are a deep chocolate brown with rich lacquered surfaces and an upholstered moss green suede bed with a suede bedspread and decorative pillows. Magnificently set on the flanks of a mountain on the Umbrian / Tuscan border in Monte Santa Maria Tiberina between Florence and Siena, stands this meticulously restored, 16th century residence formerly owned by the Prince of Milan. This Palazzo, which has undergone a complete, but sympathetic, restoration by local artisans features huge rooms, beautiful flagstone floors, chestnut beams and vaulted ceilings. The rooms retain their original character, with every window flooded with light and stunning views over the Umbrian countryside.
The ground floor contains a fully-equipped kitchen fitted with the latest appliances, including two dishwashers, double fridge and magnificent Godin cooker. There is also a large dining room, a sitting area and a separate TV/games room, a double bedroom with separate shower-room and a laundry room.
The stone staircase leads up to the first floor, where there are three double bedrooms, all with luxury en-suite bathrooms. The principal spacious living room, with honour bar, integrated Hifi system with multi CD changer and which features a huge open fireplace, is also situated on this floor.
